Refund:

Refund means a buyer wants to have his money back after the product was delivered to him.

As in Internet marketing the traded goods very often are downloadable digital products there is nothing to give back for the customer after he received his refund. He can keep the product and the money. It honours the nature of man that selling digital products can be a profitable enterprise at all. Because if all man would be so bad as we are told sometimes, the majority would request a refund. Fortunately only a small minority does this only to short-change the seller.

Still a marketer has to calculate refunds in. But high product quality and good care for the customer can reduce the rate considerably.

If products are sold via Clickbank or similar services the refunds are handled automatically by them.

From a marketer’s viewpoint, a refund guarantee for 30, 60, 90 days or even longer is an integral part of any sales letter. One hardly finds any offers without it and per tests a reliable refund guarantee is a strong incentive to convince undecided buyers that it is safe to buy.
