Paidmailer:
An internet
advertising
membership service which sends it’s members
marketing emails from it’s advertisers. This mails
contain link
s to
the advertiser’s website
. A member can earn money by clicking on the link
and staying on the target website for a specified time
(often between 20 sec and 1 minutes). The amount earned
depends on the Paidmailer and how much the advertiser is
willing to pay for this kind of promotion. Usually
earnings are in the range of a few cent per clicked
email.
Paidmailers prompt their
members to promote the service and sign up new members by
offering a signup bonus and commissions on the sponsored
members’ clicks. With a higher membership count they can charge
more for advertisements.
For advertisers using
Paidmail services shouldn’t be a too interesting option because
there hardly seems a lesser targeted public imaginable. The
visitors visit their site only to earn money, not because they
would be interested in the offer.
Even when the times of
crazy Paidmailer upsprings with insane promises of paying 5,
10, 50 or even 100 Dollars for one click are over (of course no
member ever saw a single Dime of his “earnings”) and prices are
back to realistic ranges of a few cents per click, Paidmailers
still have a reputation problem for not paying. Even if they
pay one has to click about 50 mails and visit 50 websites for
20 – 60 seconds to earn $1! Therefore it is recommended to
invest time into more promising and profitable activities.
